Oxfam Consults will support any organisation whose aims and values align with those of Oxfam. This could include public or private sector organisations, profit or non-profit, governmental or non-governmental.
Oxfam Consults charges a fee to cover the costs of providing support. Any profit generated is reinvested into the consultancy model, allowing it to grow and thereby increase impact.
Oxfam Consults is a Confederation wide initiative hosted by the Global Humanitarian Team. It operates more autonomously within the Oxfam milieu, mixing internal and external expertise, depending on the scope of individual projects.
Oxfam Consults’ network extends from national through to global level, bringing on board professionals with in-depth contextual and cultural understandings. This network of contacts includes:
- The wider Oxfam Confederation (knowledge and staff), including an extensive partner network and locally formed organisations based in former Oxfam countries*.
- Rapidly deployable specialists and expertise (professional excellence in sectoral competencies).
- Cluster networks and global sectoral platforms, (enabling reach to decision-makers).
- Framework partnerships (private sector, specialised INGOs).
- Academic Partners.
